Beside that very good point (Kudos Eve), you also seem to forget that the 3rd party windower is also able to get plug-ins so you can use other programs such as TP info on party members.

And do not forget that downloading a 3rd party program, comes with a risk of having your POL account hacked into and all your character's shit will be sold off.

Trust me, I've had 3 friends from my Dynamis LS that got hacked and all their stuff was gone. They all used windower. The GM's were called and they closed their account and they can't play with their character anymore for a very long time.

Use 3rd party programs at your own risk boneheads... but don't go crying to a GM about it if something goes wrong... You might get a 1 on 1 excounter with [GM]Dave.

I'm sure you know the outcome of such a meeting.

Agreed! FFXI is gimped like a one legged dog.

Being able to use all the other functions of your computer is essential while playing FFXI. I don't want to buy a console and another TV just so I can do homework or something on the net while I farm or grind away the levels...

SE has built this game to be slow and grinding and stupid just to keep us paying our subscription.
