Fission is where you take a Uranium-235 molecule and split it, resulting in a discharge of energy. This is how a nuclear power station works.<br /><br />Fusion is where you take two hydrogen molecules and force them together to create a helium molecule, resulting in something about 100,000x more powerful with no radiation at all.
